Xiangxi has two popular summer resorts in Hunan

The Bamian Mountain Scenic Area and Zhushan Scenic Area in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture were rated as the most popular summer resorts in Hunan in 2024 at the 3rd Wellness and Summer Resort Festival held in Guidong County of Chenzhou City on August 27. The Bamian Mountain Scenic Area is located in Liye Town of Longshan County, with an average elevation of over 1,200 meters and an average summer temperature of over 20 degrees Celsius. There are many scenic spots on the mountain. It’s a popular destination for leisure sightseeing, summer vacations, watching the sea of clouds, and admiring the starry sky. The Zhushan Scenic Area is located in Machong Township of Fenghuang County. It has a history of more than 800 years and was listed among the third batch of Chinese Ethnic Minority Characteristic Villages. Zhushan Villeggiatura Homestay Inn is currently the largest homestay cluster in Xiangxi Prefecture and is a summer resort with pleasant scenery and charming folk customs.
